Most of the time, both are being used. This is to make sure that the teaching process is done more effectively.

Also, there are some universities that make use of distance learning at some point in their curriculum. They do this so that students may experience a different kind of teaching once in a while. Students could enjoy their lessons more because there is variety in their ways of learning.
